    M570RU??
Why the heck they kept the 570 numbering? The thing looks nice, but has no audio DJ!. Another thing I don't like. 1280x800 seems a bit low...

One thing is insteresting though: WiFi-N and DX10 graphics. Hopefully those upgrades will be available to the M570U.

Its somewhat unlikely. DX10 cards will require alot of power, and they may not be available in the form factor that is compatible with the exisiting M570. The thermal aspects also are very demanding, and its probable that the M570 canot support the extra heat. I don't think Clevo would want to design and build a new notebook, if it was possible to simply exchange some of the component in the current M570.

I wanted a Clevo D900C, until I saw the price.

Decided on a Clevo M570U instead.

Does MXM IV means that one will be able to upgrade to a Gforce 8* with this laptop? I'm confused about what type MXM IV means in terms of features in the laptop for the consumer, as type IV means nothing in terms of the standard MXM promoted by NVIDIA.

I'm asking this as I'm thinking seriously buying this laptop - I don't know if I'll be able to wait for the summer to buy a M750RU. And the only reason for it would be the ability to upgrade in the future to a GForce 8* if that is the case. of MXM IV.

Yes, the MXM type IV is something that appears to have been created by Clevo engineers. It may a second generation of MXM. It does, however, give alot to the consumer. With it, you cna upgrade to a Go 8800 graphics card when they release. It won't be very cost effective, but it is possible. I would really consider the M570RU notebooks, even though you have said you may not be able to wait for it. It looks alot less bulky, and has similar power, and it also has the MXM type IV slot.

There's no technical limitation and usually Clevo does offer all resolutions including the WUXGA. Probably some marketing blunder.

It's not a Clevo form factor. NVidia has revised the MXM specs to ver2.0 now and MXM type IV simply is the former MXM Type HE (with extra power connector).
I've got this feeling that upgrade will be available since Clevo changed from proprietory to a standard form factor now.
