i dont see "common" notebooks in any of the reseller's websites, so i was wondering if clevo was competative with your run of the mill notebooks, vs the ones with monsterous graphics cards. something like, say a businessman, student, or any "down to earth" person would use.

is clevo competative in the 10"-17" mainstream?

Yes they do have does type of laptops as well. Resellers in Europe often have them for sale and the pricing is quite good in european standards.

I don't really have a website in mind right now, but the most common models are these:
    http://www.clevo.com.tw/en/products/prodinfo.asp?productid=116
    http://www.clevo.com.tw/en/products/prodinfo.asp?productid=119
    http://www.clevo.com.tw/en/products/prodinfo.asp?productid=111

But as a largely unknown brand and with a warranty support offered by the reseller I do not think they are doing as well in the mainstream market as they do in the high-end one.
