    Hello,

We all know how clevo's soundcard is performing so I'd like some help.
I would like some help in finding a good combination of headset and/or external soundcard for FPS gaming in my Clevo p150em. Should I get an headset? An external soundcard? Both? Which ones?

    Thanks.

I ended up getting the Creative Soundblaster X-Fi Go! Pro USB to makeup for the sub par on board audio. This is used primarily for normal usage....gaming, listening to music, watching videos/movies etc. connected to my Sennheiser ear buds. There are others like Asus' Xonar U3 which has also received good reviews. I just settled for the Creative Soundblaster X-Fi Go! Pro USB because I got a good deal on it. If you do any pro audio work, then you will want to looking into EMU, MAudio, Lexicon etc USB interfaces. I personally own both the Lexicon Alpha and the EMU 0404. There are also more high end options for all of the above mention options, so at least you have a good starting point to choose from.

As for headphones, research based on your budget and needs...there are so many good ones out there.

i think this is on the cheaper end of possible options and it sounds leagues better. got one for a different machine last year for $20. drives both my akgs and logitech surround quite nicely, and has some other i/o too.

I've been happy with the Creative, no real problems at all. Huge difference from on the board audio, plenty of adjustments can be made, and it's cheap.

I'm going with the Creative X-Fi Go Pro. I've read some reviews in here and it seems to be better than Asus.
Now, in a 100$ budget which headset should I get?
or should I go with some USB headset instead of the Creative X-Fi Go Pro?

I'm not going for 5.1/7.1 because I don't want to choose between Center/Sub or Mic.
