    hi guys need some help!

    I have a clevo p170EM games laptop that has a AMD HD 8970M 4GB M290X GDDR5 graphicscard fitted.
This laptop has given up the ghost with the motherboard now defunct.
I have just bought a Clevo p170HM and ineed to know wether I can fit the amd hd 8970 card to it as an upgrade?
Currently this new laptop only has a 2gb graphics card fitted.

Would it be amatter of changing the card and installing the new drivers or do I have to do other mods to the bios ect?

It's very likely to be a latter revision card which wont work, but you can give it a shot.
