tried to upgrade the ram, but the pc wont star. lights come on and then go off, this happens couple of times. the ram module is same as the other modules. on close inspection, found out that two ins on left end of the ram slot are missing.

can this be fixed, if yes then how? please help.

if you put the original ram back in does it boot normally.
how much ram did you have to start of with and how much are you putting in.
which slots did you put them in.in base or under keyboard.
are the sticks the same ie 2 4gb and not 1 4gb and 1 8gb

can you post a picture of the ram sticks you took out and the ones you are putting in pointing to where you think the pins are missing.

the more info you give the better.

Older Bios had trouble with 4 RAM sticks...if you are on BIOS 05 & EC 09 you are good from the BIOS side of things. ;)

Are you replacing two or adding two? If you are talking about legs to the slot from the mobo then likely no, that would not be repairable.
