    Hi

I got a weird problem with my laptop, it have AMD 7970M in crossfire, and when i open a game in full screen with crossfire, it comes with a flickering black line, temps looks fine.
If i disable Crossfire or go into windowed mode it stops, if i use another screen with hdmi it also stops,

It appears in all games, with crossfire enable.
I did try with another driver, and clean install of windows, did not help.

does it help to replace the screen ? or could it be another problem ?

    took a picture.

    hi
it could either be your screen cable or one of the gpu cards.

when you try the external screen have you 1 or both graphics cards enabled.

i dont know anything about ati cards so hopefully more will give advise soon.

if the line is not there for any other use except gaming then it could well be your ribbon cable from the main board to the screen.

are you still covered under extended warranty. if so contact your supplier.

Running in windowed mode disables crossfire automatically.

That line is either the 2nd card failing or the crossfire cable is damaged or needs re-seating.

I did try to re-seating the Crossfire Cable, but it will still not give any sense why it work with crossfire in external monitor.

I managed to miss the external bit, that is very odd.

The cards are interchangeable these days, so I would try swapping the primary into the secondary and the secondary into the primary.

Run tests on the card without crossfire to see that the 2nd card behaves normally and then try crossfire again.

I just did that, same problem.

I clean installed my driver again with driver 13.9, and now i can play battlefield 4, the black line only appear if i open console, in dead space 3 works fine, tomb raider dont have a black line, but double image that rolling from above to down.

That is a really bizarre issue you have there, it sounds like a software issue of some sort then if it's being impacted by driver version.
