I've heard about the problems with witcher 2 (ubersampling for example) but shouldn't the clevo still be able to handle that? I'm getting lag on high to ultra, and this seems exclusive to the game itself. My computer works just fine playing skyrim on ultra and bioshock on ultra and pretty much everything else on ultra.. so why can't it play the witcher 2? I made sure that it was using the nvidia gpu and not the integrated graphics card.

The Witcher 2 is considerably more detail-oriented than Bioshock or Skyrim, especially on maximum settings. GTX 680Ms were struggling to maintain 30 FPS on ultra settings, so no, that's normal for you.

Bro, no single laptop GPU can max out Witcher 2 with Ubersampling. It's not just you.

As in should be for pc gaming, a single entry level desktop/ mid range notebook gpu should not be able to max a new title.

Um... my 8258-S 880M plays uber everything maxed above 30 fps (1920x1080)?

Some points outside it has maybe 1 stutter here and there, but otherwise it's been totally fluid.

I usually just keep uber off though as I don't find the eye candy noticeably better for the cost of nearly half the fps.

right makes sense! sorry guys I was looking at htwingnut's review and it had witcher 2 running at 56 fps or something, I didn't realize that was for 720p.

The game should run well on High settings. But yeah, ultra is a stretch for a lot of GPUs. It sounds like the laptop is treating you well otherwise, at least!
