It should work. Check it is inserted correctly and the antennae are too. Otherwise it is faulty.

Like Meaker said it should work. If the screen is black and laptop won't turn on it's likely that it didn't get put back together right.

Have you checked to make sure the monitor ribbon is connected securely?

Then there is either a problem with the module or the or the connection it plugs into that is preventing your screen from functioning while plugged in. Where did you purchase the module through?

If you have a different laptop that you could check the module in, that'd be ideal. It sounds like a bad module but it's likely that the seller will deny that until you can verify it.

Its a 6200? Not a 6230 or 6235? Then there is a good chance the 6200 won't work, its a little too old. They changed the WiFi sense pin after the 6200 series, so if the laptop boots up with another in it, OR it works just fine in another laptop, then you need like a 6230 or something of that nature the 6300 is the only long running Intel model that supports lots of different platforms.

I would just get a 6235, the 6230 should work but the 6235 is this years model and will for sure also work and should be the same price as the 6230

I forgot how old the plain 6200 was actually. The 6230 will work, it did fine in my P150EM but yes the 6235 would be the best one.
