Does anyone know why my Sager NP8690 is constantly beeping? The beep is the same as when I connect a bluetooth device, but I believe it is just the generic "something happened" beep.

I don't believe it has anything to do with my bluetooth device because it happens in the absence of turning on the bluetooth transmitter. I don't think it is power related. It is most common when I am watching Netflix and I slightly move my computer. Once I disconnect from Netflix the problem continues until I restart my machine.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks

This is the exact problem I came on here today to look up. At first I thought it was beeping. It started randomly happening over the weekend, just a few times at first. Last night it was almost constant beeping. When I listened closer it almost sounded like a squeeking noise coming from the right front side of the notebook, right where the HDD is.

I shut down, and removed the bottom panel and cleaned all the dust out just to be safe and inspected the hard-drive. No issues, and hardly any dust.

Backed up the hard-drive immediately just to be safe. Performance of the drive is good. No clicks, no crashes, no data loss, and no issues at all so I am confused as well.

I checked for stuck keys on the keyboard, and found none and the beeping was still happening. So yeah, I have no idea what it was either.

I also experience this same issue, and I have also concluded that it is the hard drive.

That said, I don't think it's an internal error... it seems to be beeping in relation to hard disk activity and the frequency/pitch is high enough for some of us to hear unfortunately.
