if i purchased a Clevo M570RU barebones and separately bought a processor, am i going to need to buy a thermal compound to use when i'm installing it.. or does the processor come with one?

in case it matters, the processor i bought was an Intel Core 2 Duo T7500 from new egg.

Actually IIRC, the cooler of the processor will be part of the laptop, not the processor. Cooling gear for laptops is far different from desktop.

But, couldn't hurt to use some good quality ArticSilver 5 instead of a thermal pad...
