Hi, my np8130 has been running fine until recently, the cpu temp is getting "weird" ... as core 2 and core 3 are averagely 20 degrees Celsius (72 c ) higher than core 1 and 2 (50 c ).... i clean out the dust in the vent and the problem still exists ...

    anyone can help please ?

    thank you

Seems you might need to repaste your CPU. 20C difference is a lot..

Looks like a thermal compound problem, it probably isn't very well distributed over the CPU... Try reapplying the thermal compound.

When you do the thermal compound make sure to apply it as recommended by maker. IC Diamond does a great job and here is Application instructions

yep, repaste time. i used to get 10c difference between cores 1 and 4 whenever i repasted with Arctic Silver on my 170hm. No matter how many times I repasted after a few weeks the issue would return.
In the end I figured that my heatsink wasnt completely even and with time in one corner an air bubble would create between cpu and heatsink which caused temps to shoot up in that part. I tried a few different compounds and found that with Gelid GC Xtreme was one that worked best and the problem never returned.

Use a lint-free cloth (the polishing cloths for cars should work so long as it does state it is lint free).

You can use either rubbing alcohol or this Newegg.com - Arctic Silver ACN-60ML (2-PC-SET) Thermal material Remover & Surface Purifier - Thermal Compound / Grease to be sure the whole surface is cleaned properly.

Be sure to clean both the heatsink contact surface as well as the CPU/GPU surface thoroughly with either of the above 2 mentioned solutions before reapplying the paste.
