I upped the extra power volatage to 1.05 and used the clocks 600 1350 850
not to shabby eh?
oh btw stock was 10198, so almost a 1000 increase
there ya go eleron![]()
stupid link cleared..
anyways. I got 11130 marks @ 1280x1024
-
WOW thats alot... the Q6600 makes up a lot of the score....
-
hell ya.
I bet if I push it hardcore I could get 13k but I don't think I will push this one like I did with my 7900gtx. god rest her soul. -
so...
yes it makes up for some.. but the last 1k I got strickly from overclocking. -
How about in games? Is the overclock noticeable in crysis, etc?
-
I WANT SCREENSHOTS!
You do know what those are don`t ya? -
I posted them. but orb cleared the link.
I swear bud.
I will post some more. I re-flashed my card back to stock. that score scared me.
just imagine the possibilities.
muhuhuahahahahah -
I was trying this overclocks with a friend on the forum. we found that when flashing the card with higher clocks we have to up the voltage to stablaize. we don't know if nibitor is reading the clocks wrong and lowering the voltages when going between 0611 and 060c. that's what we think anyways because when we change the voltage it runs stable. with same temps as well. -
And what are the max temps? CPU/GPU ?
I saw your Crysis screenies, impressive. -
here cha go buddy eleron.
my max temp during 3dmark was 56 degrees idle temp is about 36. I run in max fan mode 24-7 now.
plus I am buying a new set of fans too for 165.00
I switched back to 169.44 and lost 100 marks.
i didn't like the clevo ones because powermizer is borked on them
Ok just played crysis for 15 min.
I avg between 30-38 fps @1680x1050 all high no tweaks.
wicked cool!
I can realy notice the difference.
when I first started recovery and am staring at the body/rock foliage... etc i started off with about 28-32 fps..
when I looked the same place with OC I GET 38-39 fps.
my temps at idle are 35 and maxed during crysis and after peaked at 61.
does anyone know what is considered hot?
without fans at max, auto? dunno as I said before I don't ever hear them turn on. so the GPU goes up to 83.
thanksLast edited by a moderator: May 6, 2015 -
Hey Dex Nice scores!!!!
I cant wait to expereince true gaming when I install XP tommorrow -
thank ya buddy.
I really can notice the diff.
I got a bios if ya need.
with the volt mod and all.
it's stable as a table. -
I would like a bios...how does it work?
Just got a Sager 5793 but don't know much about oc'ing -
hy!
which appz do u use for OC ? and for bios-editing?
with. nibitor 3.8 i get incorrect bios clock speeds
regards -
Daimi.. with Nibitor v3.8 when you open your bios file go to adv. Info TAB
and rename Device ID from 060C to 0611 or 0622 save and then reopen it
and you will be able to make some changes then turn back device id and save it -
hy! can u post the bios?
-
Daimi here is the bios:
http://rapidshare.com/files/100017392/8800M_GTX_Stable.exe.html
Dexgo use the same bios that i make -
56C isn't hot at all for a laptop GPU under load. I can barley keep my desktop cards that cool under load! What speed were you running your fans?
-
What program did you use to overclock the shaderclock?
8800m series seem to clock very well indeed -
damn, hardware OC'ing with bios flash. that is hardcore. I don't know enough about OC'ing for this haha.
Good to see some results
You should write a guide later. ( with a HUGE HUGE HUGE DISCLAIMER of course ) -
What is the default voltage on these cards, and what can you set it to?
-
the default is 1v
i have pushed it to 1,05 and now will test it with 1,10 and 1,15 -
Dexgo you`re the man. So here you go as promissed!
-
this is the very stable overclocked bios if some want it..
http://rapidshare.com/files/100017392/8800M_GTX_Stable.exe.html
but before you flash compare with your bios version -
Before BIOS flashing, I like to take a few precautions. I always down clock the system to default clocks and voltages, and always keep backups of original BIOSes on hand. Also, if a BIOS flash fails the checksum - do it again! I had that happen to one of my 2900XTs, and had to pull a backup card out of my bin to get video so I could reflash the card.
I got 3.8 and checked out voltages. My cards have 1v - 1.15v in .05v increments, which makes me wonder how similars these cards are.
GPUz 0.1.7 Project
I put up a GPUz project of the cards in my main rig. Right now these are stock clocks, waiting to get some better coolers for them. -
Nice score Dexgo but you can surely push the cards harder. I have mine overclocked to Core 600, Shaders 1500 and Mem 900.
-
for sure bud.
for sure.
I want to get the voltages like gangsta said mapped out.
then we will party. -
so, OC my gpu to 620//1450//900
got 9.6k in 3Dmark06! with stock speeds and OC CPU i get 9700
limiting factor is my ****ty t7500 CPU
another funny thing is that i can'T overclock my gpu when i run on OC'ed CPU
gives me freezer after 1 min
any suggestions ?
thx in advance
regards -
Daimi how did you overclock your GPU through software or bios?
-
bios nibitor! but i experienced the same thing when ocing with software, 9.7k nearly impossible to reach because of cpu
-
i dont know about that..
but with voltage 1,05 you cant push the shaders more than 1350 thats why it freezeyou can set your bios to Core 600 shaders 1350 and Memory 950 very stable and its very good overclock flash the card with these clocks and than will no more freeze
-
it's a voltage thing.
you need to get a more powerfull adapter.
that might help for sure.
I had the same prob with my m1710 when extensivlely overclocking.
I upgraded to a 150w and she was awesome.
ps... i melted my 120w. too much power. needed. -
So no geometric delta on this one yet ?
-
where i can get a 150w psu?
-
I found some on ebay build by Li Shin 20V x 7.5A, but very expensive.....
-
Damn guys I got this average in DX10 all high settings and at 1920x1200, best so far for me. I am running Vista, but will install XP to run it in DX9 instead

post your bios please
we need to analyze the voltages.
it's very important.
it's easy to to.
just d/l nibor read bios and save.
please -
-
ok, got the bios for the DELL, and D901C
now anyone with the m57ru, please post the BIOS -
Ok, I have hit the perverbail roadblock per se..
I have found that the d901c's 8800m won't let you go past 1350 on the shader clock. no matter what voltage.
I have also found that the m1730's bios is very similar and as such runs on 1v for max on thier extra VID7
so that means that I don't exactly know why upping the voltage to 1.05 made a diff on the clevos 8800.
but it did. but further than 1350 indicates freezing and black screens of death. voltage or not.
it seems die cut or not it's locked @ 1350 which sucks.
I and another forum member have been gathering bios and breaking down/mapping the bioses for differences and trying to find out why it's clearly locked @1350.
a little history lesson.
when the first batch of 8800 gtx/gts came out a while back they were all locked @ 1350 shaders.
this was from what I read a die cut limit and cannot be unlocked or anything.
so If ANYBODY could please post a bios dump from the m57ru 8800m that would be great.
or can post about going higher than 1350 on shaders stable on the 8800 with a m57ru that would be great too.
please contribute to the scene.
thanks

Hmm that´s bad if it´s true, in one way. On the other hand the 8800m GTX is a very good performer at stock clocks and doesn´t really need any overclocking. But I think it´s seems strange it would be locked to 1350 shaders. Maybe a precaution issue? Maybe a bios fix would come in handy here, Clevo might release a bios update to fix this?
-
so here's my bios from m570ru
got 620//1450//900
http://rapidshare.com/files/100656133/optim.rom.html
btw. funny thing that on d901c the shader clock is locked -
Daimi I am sure you can run at 625/1500/950 if you want, I can run those without any probs
-
y, but there's no major increase in performance, cpu is limiting
-
True same here daimi, I run mine at 600/1500/900 now and it runs good, no need for me to overclock any higher since the performance gain is not much at all going to 625/1550/950. Though funny thing is heat doesn´t increase anything either so that´s good
-
y, but noticed no difference with default value,
btw. 0.85 was default or..?
