I'm trying to use 7970m from Dell Alienware m17xr in my Eurocom Racer 2.0 (Clevo p150em) laptop. After starting the laptop it starts blinking LED and beep and within 60 seconds after start automatically switched off.

what need to do to make it work? it is even possible?

    my laptop config:
    mb series - P150EMx
    BIOS revision - 1.02.16
    KBC/EC firmware revision - 1.02.11
original GPU - 7970m (with amd enduro on)

    thanks.

nope, not possible im afraid. dell cards generally just dont work in clevo machines. the embedded controller gets false temp readings from the gpu and shuts the system down to prevent "overheating".

Oh damn, I was thinking of bidding on a cheap Alienware 7970m on ebay and replacing the 670M on my Clevo Horize P150EM.
So even with latest BIOS updates, it won't work? Can anyone else confirm this?

yep, thats actually more likely. alienware machines have been found to be pretty tolerant when it comes to gpu compatibility :) no warranties though! its always a case-specific thing @specific model + specific gpu

Dell cards can sometimes work but they need flashed if they're going to, whereas vice versa, a Clevo card in a Dell often does not need flashed.

Clevo cards do tend to be fairly easy to find at least :)
