hello all,
I am curious if many of you think this disabling core parking in Win7 is something worth doing/attempting, or not....meaning not because it wouldnt actually make much of a difference, or because there might be some underlying issues with it,or both...

what youre going to unpark are imo the ht cores.
(what i think)
is if youre doing virtualization or other process that are heavily multithreaded it will benefit.
if youre gaming... maybe not -
A you experiencing the micro stutter or something? I was, on 2 different systems, an Asus G73 with an i7 1st gen and a Sager with an i7 2nd gen. I disabled the core parking on both. The stutter went away on both. Try it if your having any issue related, and if you don't see any improvement, you can just change it back.

no, no stuttering here that I can see...but it seems like an all around good thing to do...esp. if it helps distribute the CPU loads more evenly and smoothly...I was just wondering if there were any kind of side effects to it...

The only real side effects will be increased heat and reduced battery performance. All you're really doing is disabling the power management features that it came with. It can possibly lower overall lifespan, but it's going to be negligible.
disable core parking - should it be done?
