I'm trying to replace the lcd cable going into the motherboard.. I've pretty much unscrewed everything I can and its just not coming apart. I'm just trying to take off the top portion where the keyboard is (not the keyboard itself). If anyone has done this before I would appreciate any help. Thanks

I have only disassembled the previous Clevo D900 chassis.

If they are the same as the new D900C chassis, then to get to the LCD cable:
    - remove the beyboard
    - there is metal plate (in the D900T/K) that needs to be unscrewed under the beyboard
    - then the plastic part that the Power button and other hotkeys can get removed without screws usually
    - then you can see the cables running.

To get to the LCD inverter, you must dismantle the top half of the notebook chassis.
    - unscrew the bottom screws, the side screws, and maybe some on top
    - remember to remove all "removable" peripherals/parts (battery, optical drives, HDDs, memory, CPU, videocard modules) because there could be screws under them

Then you should be able to dismantle the notebook.

Keep track of the screws (I use a Styrofoam box and panel to stick the screws in, then mark them with a sharpie... so I wont lose track of them)

Lastly, the LCD casing itself is easy to dismantle.
    - the screws are hidden under each of the circle rubber pieces.

I had to do this today to install my Atheros Card.

heya gohpn, i noticed that I have a spot for mini lan and also mini pcie lan.

can I have 2 cards simu?

My G*d man! You just got it. You do realize, don't you, that you're only supposed to open the cardboard box when you unwrap packages?

The miniPCI slot is for the TV Tuner, the miniPCIe is for the Wifi card usually.

The manual doesn't say, but Gophn is right. The wires on the extra slot are for the TV Tuner.

i installed into my D901C another 8800M GTX (SLI upgrade kit). After updating my bios from dvd (included in kit) my notebook didn't boot windows up so i was forced to do a hard restart and now it even woun't boot from dvd, just plack screen. I tried to boot again with single VGA but same old s**t.

sounds more like a bad video flash.

you can start with single video card first. i sure hope your computer is set to boot usb device first....

1: go back to single card mode just to be safe... first.
2: make a boot able usb thumb drive
3: copy you video & nvflash files to it
    3: make a file called autoexec.bat
4: put these commands in it: nvflash nameofyourfile.rom
5: insert thumb drive and boot laptop
6: when you hear the single little beep, hit the "y" key

if done correctly it should reflash your video card.

I don't have any usb thumb drives write now.

Is this the only way? Should i continue to CMOS, im only few steps away?

actually after this im planing so switch my HDs so maintaining windows isn't my first priority

no, cmos will not help you.. your flash on your cards are messed up. try each card by itself and in the slot closest to the left side of the computer.(if your looking at the screen, this left side) so you should have the single card installed/no card installed/memory fan/cpu fan/

use text editor to create a new text document: example: text.txt
    put the commands in it
    then rename it to
    autoexec.bat

it will say: do you wish to change this file. you click yes.

    autoexec.bat
9800mgtx.rom (example only!. your file may be named differently)

you may need to send it in if your can't get it to read a boot able flash drive.

check your flash drive in a nother computer to make sure it is really bootable

not good.... means your notebook is not booting usb drives first...

and from my understanding...no one knows how to invoke a blind flash of these. (booting from usb floppy)
