i think 7200rpm 16mb hdd is more than enough speed for me for laptop
since i am not trying to capture hd movies or anything like that.
however, i do have one question. if i put another hdd and run them in raid 0,
will it make things run hotter? i am pretty sure hdd are right next to each other inside laptop so i am kinda worried about hdd life span.

I run 2 HDD's in my laptop and it pushes the idle temp from 37C to 39C, but the overall cooling design of my particular model doesnt seem to allow the second drive to truly become a problem.

If you put another driver in? Yes
Is the raid 0 causing the extra heat? No

Probably cause not many other notebooks than Clevos have multiple hard drives available.

It could, depending on access patterns. But in total, its really neglible, because the difference between seek and idle in a 2.5" hard drive is between 1-2W.
