Hi,
When opening my laptop lid- the screen kept flickering. So I opened up my laptop, and found that when I applied pressure on certain parts of the eDP cable- it seemed to cause it.
I (urgently) need an eDP cable and I cannot find one in Australia (waiting to hear back from resellers).
Where else can I look?
Is the eDP cable standard or is it different for every laptop?
What should I be searching for?
Is contacting clevo directly worth my time?

Resellers are it, really. There's quite a lot of them, so chances should be good. Only, not all are willing to sell individual components to a non-customer. Best bet is your original dealer.
It's standard on the lcd end, but different on the mb end. With Clevo there's also the difference between eDP and LVDS boards within the same laptop and different eDP panels offered. What is the actual panel you have?
No, they will not respond or redirect you to your reseller.
Failing an easy (or fast) replacement; consider unwrapping the cable and use the pressure check to verify the actual wire that is the cause. De-strip its plastic coating and solder on an extra wire alongside the broken section. Use heatshrink on wire and cable when done.i_pk_pjers_i likes this. -

I would personally suggest Eurocom, they are usually pretty good at selling individual things, even to non-customers.TomJGX likes this. -
