Did some research and I'm still slightly confused about this, so before I try to plug something in and break it I thought I better ask here.

Am I correct in assuming that I can plug in either a regular USB cable ( same type that would go into the other 4 side USB ports ) as well as eSATA cable into this port. Also if I use this with a 3.5" external hard drive I understand I'd need 12V of power and a cable that supports this. Does this port in the back of 150HM provide this or just 5V of power ( which would be enough only for a 2.5"HD ).

    Thanks

You are correct on all counts. The combination port only supplies 5v USB power as it's not a powered eSATA port (it just provides power via the USB pins). USB connections will fit snug compared to a standard USB port though, so just be aware of that when plugigng/unplugging.

Thanks. I'll probably end up using it with my 3.5" drive that's already in an enclosure therefore not needing power from the USB. Enclosure has eSATA and USB ports so I guess eSATA cable would be sufficient. That way I get to free up one of the side ports ( USB mouse, dongle, another HD you can run out of ports pretty quickly ).
