This may or may not be exclusive to Clevo, I don't yet know as I am only able to try on the one computer I have with a native eSata connection.
My other notebooks lack aSata but the Clevo M570TU has one.
It seems that either the cable ends are a poor design or the port doesn't have a locking mechanism to secure the cable but I have 3 WD 1 TB drives, each with esata and if that cable wiggles just .000000001 mm the connection is lost. Anyone else experience this?

I use esata on my desktop and don't seem to have the same problem.

Does your esata cable "snap in"? or just "fit in"?
Mine seems to just fit---no snap or anything to suggest it is locked
into place. I will try an expresscard esata cardbus tomorrow but
that won't change how it fits in the WD drives. I'm not exaggerating, if my plants fart, the passing air outside is enough to disturbe the cable and
drop the drive from Windows. I won't be pleased if this is the norm for esata. -
This link is for a blog with people talking about this same issue on the Seagate drives, of which I have one.

eSATA doesnt really seem to have a click in as far as I've found. Not on the laptop and not on my desktop that Installed either. It's a very loose connection which is not good if you may move it too fast.
