emotional torture (when ffs)

bit of a pointless post, but i need to vent.

no biggy, but i'm sitting here like a 3 year old waiting for his new blanket.

Novatech are out of stock on chassis's for the M570RU and as of now i'm hoping for a Wednesday delivery I doubt it, as it's Monday with no sign of stock...
bearing in mind i got all the finance, and decisions made up last week, I was hoping for delivery this week, yet still days later i'm looking at the awaiting stock icon (annoying icon it is) i forsee Friday maybe if i'm lucky. all i wanna do is get my shiney new toy

I have often looked to see if the prices moved, and to see what new specs come out and there is usually a couple ready built waiting.

sorry to hear you have a wait, but if you need some comfort on that head over the the Alienware forums, where people who ordered 4th/5th Feb are expecting their laptop this week or next week

oh no athlonix I aint getting no AW not after everything I have read (they are all still waiting .... and some of the ones arriving are broken)

anyway, I had 1st class service from novatech.
admittedly mine was in stock, but from being in stock to delivery was less than 2 working days.
that was the £6 delivery

well it looks promising, depending on when it arrives, two days for delivery sounds excellent.

 

well my exact timings were as follows,
ordered using my credit card Friday 14th March 17:30, received 13:20 on Tuesday 18th March.

considering I orderd at pretty much closing time on the friday, I think the extra pound for next day delivery really paid off.
so the order probably wasnt processed until the monday...

I am sure they will get the laptop off to you as soon as they have it in stock, built and tested.

Novatech have been around a very long time, and a couple of my friends swear by them too.

don't worry it will come soon, i am probably one of the few who ordered from Rizeon, came quite quickly and free delivery though i opted for saturday so it did cost extra in the end... good things come to those who wait

 

actually athlonix I also ordered with no o/s, that should make it even quicker
they flash the drive with an image to test it, then they format down to give you a blank machine

took windows xp 25 mins to install on here, I had all drivers installed on it within the hour ooooh its soooo fast!

and I am really enjoying this machine, some ridiculous late nights
and my gaming has taken a leap forward, I am more accurate on the higher res screen , and because it doesnt even shudder at games, I can safely set max settings
(not talking about crysis obviously )

crysis on High settings @ 1920x1200 2x aa ran at 17-24 fps

once I dropped the AA and the resolution a couple of steps (keeping it at 16:10 ratio) I got 30-40fps, and it looks amazing still on high settings.
that was only the demo though

very nice machine, Novatech are a great choice for the price, and when you think about it, while Rock have the 3 year warranty, its probably cheaper to insure your laptop for 3 years.

I calculated nearly a £500 difference between rock and novatech on same prices

 

excellent news, the laptop is in production i'm hoping for it to dispatch tomorrow morning, and turn up friday. if it turns up monday i shall kill someone.

 

well if you ordered next day delivery thats exacly what you get
it was only £1 extra than normal 7 day delivery

Very professional service from Novatech. Ordered the laptop on Wed 2nd of April at 4pm (obviously chose something they had in stock).

Got it on Thu 3rd 12pm.
20 hours waiting of which 9 sleeping. Could not wish for anything better.

Worth cancelling the XPS 1730, which even though had SLI, made me sick (really sick, not kidding) because of having to call their sales "support" every day for a week while listening to their excuses for the delay.

with 1 gtx??

I can't get close to that on high maybe 23fps on high.

I can't even dare turn on aa because it will kill my fps

can't even get close to that on 1680x1050

and 2xaa will destroy the fps.
