    How do you enable the 3G HSDPA capability of the EDGE? I've read that you can insert a SIM card in it but it won't function without the card bought from PCMW, is that right? Well, I have a Huawei E160 HSDPA USB Modem that I'm using currently, but it would be better if the whole mobile internet interface is integrated inside the laptop.

    I've just put in my 3g sim card in the slot, but nothing happens, and I can't find the controller in the hardwareprofile (? Enhedshåndtering in Danish). Now I'm downloading drivers from Eurocoms website, but I don't think much will happen, do I need an antenna of some sort?

    Thing is, when I bought my notebook from Danish reseller Novabook, they said that the 3g modems were not included as previously stated, due to deliveryfailures and mad prizing on the chips, so i got a fair discount instead. I haven't found reasons to fiddle with the insides of my laptop before now, and then i discover the simcard slot. Exciting! :s

    i asked this question before i bought my Nexus.
    it sounds like you have to take a contract out for the card.
    im at work now so wont have time to find the details but will update this later when i get home.

    @lapatata

    i think you don't have the modem installed in your laptop. the sim slot may be there but the modem isn't because you did not buy one i believe.

    Thanks everyone. I don't really need the modem, but I just hoped they had installed the modem by accident :).
