    If you read the back of your AC adapter it should tell you the volts and amps that the AC adapter is putting out on the DC side, then you will be able to see if the universal you linked to will be able to power it. I don't have the specs on that model handy sorry.

    it says;

    input 100-240v, 2.0a
    output 20v, 6.0a

    specs of batttery on website;

    Voltage: DC15-25V 2.5A-4A (Input), 16-19V (Output), USB Output: 5.3V. Capacity: 61.00 Watt/Hours

    does that mean it won't be suitable? someone chime in who knows voltages please :)

    I would say that it won't work as the external battery does not put out enough amps (6) to work along with not enough voltage.

    As long as you have the main battery and it's not completely dead, you should be able to use the external battery to supplement your main battery. Any time you are not under full load, you'll slowly charge your main battery. And when you are under load, your main battery will not drain as fast. At least, assuming the charging circuit will work at 6a.

    I do the with an external battery and my smart phone. I can certainly draw more current than it can provide with Bluetooth, Gps, and everything else running.

    I have a M570RU with a completely dead battery, which I assume it is due to me flashing the system BIOS before completely charging the battery when the laptop came.

    Does anyone know if there is a way to revive my battery? Maybe my battery is incompatible with the latest M570RU BIOS?
