I have a 9262, quad q9550 2.83GHz w/12MB L2Cache at 1333MHz FSB.
2X8800M GTX in SLI.
Running Vista 64 Bit
I already have the standard 2X2GB Trascend DDR2 800MHZ (I believe it's a PC2-6400)
Which would be the fastest and best 8GB or 2X4GB memory that I could buy to upgrade from 4GB up to 8GB.
I run a lot of business programs at once, and the 4GB is getting slow for my taste.
Thanks in advance,
-
This is quite fast DDR2 800 - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231293
Kingston HyperX is also about one of the best for memory, expensive though. -

Thanks for the info.
I guess they don't make any memory modules with anything faster than 800MHz, that would fit the 9262? -
You can get faster ram, but the mobo will downclock it to 800mhz anyways, unless you overclock the fsb with setfsb, but I wouldn't recommend it.

I've been trying to find 8GB of memory that will run stable in the 9262. Corsair is unstable during heavy use, and Crucial won't even post. Both are two 4GB sticks PC2 6400.
I would be curious to see what you come up with.
fastest and best 8GB or 2X4GB memory for my 9262
