so finally have my new laptop. should have got it on the 30th but was not able to receive so it went back to UPS!!
anywayz now that I have it, seems a nice laptop.
noticed a few -ves though
noisy optical drive - mat****a, sounds like a dot-matrix printer
keyboard is a bit clippy - whatever that means - slight noise on key press. compared to my old toshiba quite a bit louder!!
just got everything up and running, so will upate later after a decent rundown.
might do a review...
any tips on what kind of stuff to install?
and any news with the touchpad drivers that work with firefox - scrolling?

What's your exact configuration, if you don't mind me asking?

Congrats kingpin! Very cool.
Yeah - they keyboard is a bit clickety, but offers good feedback and feel in my opinion. I replaced the optical drive in mine, now it is much quieter. If you plan on replacing the drive, all you have to do is buy a new one from Newegg or something, then swap the benzels (since the benzel for the modular bay is special).
Install? - I'd install all your basics first - Antivirus/spyware, Winzip, media player, etc., then do some games. That's how I do it.
Nope - I haven't been able to get the FireFox scroll to work. It's a software issue - there will probably be a fix eventually.
Cheers - and we'd love to have another review of the 5320. If you'd like to do a full review, just contact abaxter about it - he'll give you guidelines, etc. -
@Ala - my config is 1.86, WSXGA, 512, 80 SATA, dvd/cd-rw
@Chaz - yeah, got all the basics done, m planning to stick with the windows firewall!! now to get the games going....
will be getting 1gb ram from newegg.
m going to wait on the drive a bit. already blew my budget.
will get in touch with abaxter and get down to doing a review. sounds good. -

Hey Chaz, what settings to you recommend when overclocking the x700? I was reading the "ATI Overclocking" thread in the Games section but you were going through so many revisions that i got lost! Any help is appreciated... -
