Does anyone with the Sager NP8454 (or any sager/clevo with a fingerprint reader) have reliability problems with it? Mine's on its way back to them for the second time to try to duplicate and resolve problems with mine. Initial power-up, works almost all the time. Over the course of a few days of sleep/resume cycles and regular use, it becomes extremely unreliable and fails to catch my fingerprint 3 times (this requiring my windows password) to unlock. Very frustrating.

Sager's been great about it. Both times, they've sent me an RMA number no argument or pushback but with the very limited shelf life of a brand new laptop staying top of the line, its frustrating to not have it.

Curious as to how reliable the reader is for others. I've had fingerprint readers with other manufacturers before and they worked flawlessly 100% of the time.

As a side note, the machine is so fast to start and saving work is a good habit. Why the sleep?

habit more than anything. That and even though booting is fairly quick, unsuspend is still faster. If there's anything left open when I close the lid, its usually just a chrome browser window or two. Highly unusual for me to have a bunch of random apps open.

Sleep has never been an optimised process in my experience.

Yeah, I disable sleep every time I setup my pc. Very buggy feature to me.

Manufacturers just don't seem to put the effort behind the drivers for it to cope with the wake.
