I have a 6990m and can over to 830/1070 stable with no artifacts. I get 15600 gpu in vantage.

Is their a way to overclock higher without getting artifacts like how do the pros always seem to get such high clocks?

Flashing the Vbios on your card is usually the easiest way to over or under volt it. You can't do it through pure software as far as I know. While clocking the core and memory up won't hurt the card, upping the voltage can cause damage, so it has to be done carefully. However, the community usually has vbios' for cards that have been tested on numerous ones and found in a safe range. I can't tell you if they have one for a 6990m though, I never owned one.

    found something amazing!!!!

I could overclock to 870 unstable and get 15500

now i over clock lower and get 15700 the same as overclocking to 900/1100

I used ati tray tools and tweaked the heck out of my registry. I highly recommend ati tray tools and experimentation is disabling alot of things.

Those are some nice benchmark scores, but how long will that last during gaming daily?

I score p4043 with gaming clocks. I can run this 24/7
benchmark clocks i get 4111, cant play games without artifacts

still p4000 for gaming is pretty powerful and not to far away from a stock 7970m
