hi
soetimes, when i play games, they minimize to the desktop with any warning. they're not crashing or anything, just minimizing. this is really annoying and i can't seem to find a way to stop it. it's a new problem, and it doesn't seem to affect battlefield 4 (perhaps becase it's rnning on borderless mode, or it might be a problem with steam games). i've disabled pop-up notifications from my anti-virus softwares (AVG and avast!) but it doesn't seem to help.
:EDIT:
checked on BF3 wich works on fullscreen, happens there too
i'm rnning windows 8.1 64bit PRO
thanks

me never had this problem but it could well be to do with anti virus. avg does have (or used to) a gaming mode which should stop this.
have you got any other software that does random cleanups like tune up utilitys or spam/malware cleaner. -
i said at the start that i disabled every pop up option on AVG and avast! and it doesn't seem to help. the only other software that might be a problem is CCleaner bt it isn't on and there's no process of it in the background. any other sggestoins?

you mentioned popup and not game mode otherwise i wouldnt of suggested it.
you should only run 1 anti virus and having 2 loaded is asking for trouble.
it wouldnt be cc cleaner so no worrys there. -
i turned that gaming option as well.
anyway, i managed to fix the minimizing by doing this:
i've re-nstalled my old drivers, re-installed my current drivers, uninstalled uTorrent, disabled every pop up option there was on any anti virus (ncluding that gaming mode) and i've uninstalled bonjour (the apple updating software which can go itself along side apple' mom). haveing said that, i have no idea what actally did make that bug go away out of all the things i did. all i know is that it's fixed now and i can go back to sleep with a silent mind.
thanks for the help anyway. have a pleasent night/day/week/year! -

Good to know you got around it.
Sometimes the hotkeys cause the application to lose focus; perhaps the driver reinstall was what did it.
In any case, nicely done! -
thanks!
games minimizing randomly
