Just got my np8660 today. I love the way it looks and the screen was alot brighter than what some of the reviews said.
Just wanna say that Xotic PC has been great. I payed by bank wire and though that worried me , they supported and answered all my questions quickly throughout the whole process. I ordered on monday and it reached me on friday! which is really really fast.
I'm really impressed.

I also made a purchase from XoticPC,
The service is fantastic however my story is a bit rougher.
XoticPC service did everything I could want, explained a lot to me and feel better about my purchase, they did everything with great speed as well.
I sent an enormous amount of emails to Justin(over these 3-4 months), not a single one had any sign of annoyance, even after the purchase,(I think I would have been annoyed to receive so many emails... enough to be spam) and he is very kind and helpful...
I ordered an Asus G71G-A2 and it got shipped and USPS lost it...
So now I am changing my order to Np8660 and everything is going really smoothly.
I just have to wait for USPS to pay XoticPC as it was insured, but USPS is taking bloody long to do anything....
It shipped November 25 2008.
January 7 2009, XoticPC ordered the investigation of the "missing package" (on their own account... I didnt even need to ask them to do this and this was the earliest day they could ask for this... Fantastic service again)
Feb 7 2009, Investigation completed by USPS, declared lost...
All of my emails to USPS gave me 0 answers and just sending me a generic response saying I should have the sender contact them...
As of now it is Feb 20 and USPS has still to pay XoticPC... (all papers have been submitted) so they cant ship it until they are credited (that is perfectly reasonable)
Justin told me that this process "should" get completed in 2-4 weeks, so he is going to try pressure them on my behalf.
There is 0 problems with XoticPC, I highly recommend their service. Before and after sales are simply fantastic, their pricing is also really good. Also, from my forum enquiries about my "future" Sager, they are not trying to maximise their profit at all...
They are simply looking after my interest, giving me recommendations and detailed facts and reasons about why extra components are not necessary. (In my case, Turbo Memory and a little bit more CPU power. saved me 300USD...)
I am singing praises to Justin and to everyone involved in XoticPC and in the forums... they have turned me into a bit of a fanboy now.
I got unlucky, I do not recommend USPS obviously...
BTW, I am just a customer and am not affiliated with them on any other level. This is not an advertisement... -
, double post sorry...

thanks,nice specs
I was curious about your cpu in fact because you were advised to save from CPU power, I thought for a moment you choosed P8600 -
thx,nice specs
for a moment I thought u went with P8600 cpu as you were advised to save money from CPU power -
I was advised to choose the P9600 over the T9800 and here is my understanding of why:
For the purposes of gaming, the system will only be as strong as it's weakest link. The T9800 is more powerful but will only offer a very marginal improvement over the P9600 because the rest of the computer would act as a bottleneck before the CPU.
I believe the difference would be a tad more noticable in Photoshop and other CPU intensive tasks.
I can not refute that the T9800 is more powerful, but the difference doesnt really justify 200 USD. -
got my np8660! impressions about purchase and xotic pc (good impression)
