    gtx 470m vs gtx 460m % difference?

    any ideas or guesses?

    i am looking for laptop hopefully into a sager updated chassis of np8760

    possible specs

    i5 540m
    500gb hdd
    4gb ram
    gtx 460m/gtx 470m (prefer nvidia because of gpu computing )
    17 inch screen
    bluetooth
    wifi

    sager is not offering gtx 470m eurocom is but why is eurocom so expensive??? if i build the above specs it will be usd 1800+ for eurocom but for sager from xotic pc its around usd 1350?

    any links for gtx 470m barebones from others? how much diff is gtx 460m vs gtx 470m?

    Eurocom always has things that do not exist yet. They will actually have them, after Sager gets those, as Sager is the only distributor here in North America.

    Since all we can do at this point is speculate blindly, I will aim my dart at 10%.

    The 460M's stock clocks are pretty high, and will keep it competitive, despite the difference of 96 shaders.

    if we talk about direct x 10 performance - how does the 470m gtx fare against the 280m gtx ?

    sager already has gtx 460m for pre order why arent they promoting gtx 470m then? eurocom is promoting all gtx 460m/470m/480m for pre order the price diff of gtx 460m and 470m is only 80 usd in eurocoms site.

    sager has gtx 460m for a configurable part but i really hope gtx 470m they also put

    Eurocom doesn't have it in stock either, yet.

    Sager has said that it's coming "at a later date", but won't give a concrete timeframe.

    It's a safe bet that it will be out by the mid-October, because Nvidia will need a counter in place, to fight the potential Mobility 6800.

    Although it's possible that it's the 485M that's going to be the counter for 6800, 6870, etc.
