I haven't seen a Sager/Clevo laptop that has this video card. Why is that?

From what I read here on the forum, 570m is definitely a big step up from 560m around 20% and can be OC'ed to 485m performance or closely to it.

I think they want to keep it either with the 560m or the 580m and skip the 570m, altogether. That means it's either the 560 or 580, and no option for the middle man, the 570m. Basically, more money to be made. :)

You might as well just go all out and get the GTX 580m! No need to overclock anything for great performance right from the get-go.

And yeah, it's a profit deal. But what isn't?

I'm sure there are a lot of people that want an upgrade from the 560m but can't splurge for the 580m. Profit isn't all about selling the biggest baddest card.

I've only ever seen msi laptops offer the 570m. Not even alienware.

I know I read topics about this awhile ago, but there is a way to upgrade the GPU on a 8130 right? You need to upgrade the PSU as well? 560m now.

You can upgrade the GPU on the P151HM1 yourself, as it's just an MXM card. You only need to upgrade the power supply if you upgrade to a higher wattage card though (the 560m is ~75w, while most of the upgrades are 100w). However, both the 560m and 570m are 75w parts so you shouldn't need a power supply upgrade. At least that part of the upgrade should work, though I can't speak to overall compatibility.

Where would I even buy the cards? Can't seem to find them in any of the usual places.

Yes this seems to be the case. Clevo at this moment has not implemented these for reasons not disclosed :)

If the selling price of gtx570m is around $250 - $300 that is around $220 less than gtx580m. For me that is a big difference.

It's way bigger than that. The 580M costs around $800.

At that selling price, the 570M costs about the same amount as the 560M.

It looks like you can really get stuff cheap in China...

$250 for a new gen GTX graphics card seems like an awesome deal..
