i had to return my laptop cuz my gtx670m on a clevo p150em was reaching 97c at 99% "maximum" load on furmark , the stupid thing is that they tried to fool me by saying that they fixed it and now the temps reach 80c max , but after asking them for a screenshot for the temps after the fix , it turns out that the alleged 80c at maximum load was actually at 94% load and the heat wasnt improved at all , so if anyone can send me a screenshot of a gtx670m at maximum load using furmark , just in case they tell me that those temps are normal.

ummm....theres pretty much no difference between 94 and 99% usage ^^ its negligible at best. and 80C is totally fine for furmark. btw,i bet "fixing it" just involved a simple repaste, shouldnt have had to send it in for that :)

well that is not the case with my laptop , the temps on my clevo are fine until the load reachs 98% , that is when the temps soar to 96-97% , it is like the cooling collapse at 98% load.

that cant be right, temps cant just suddenly jump up 15C just cuz the cpu load increased by a few %

I can do the test if you want. I have a P170EM and IC Diamond thermal paste though, so I might not be an accurate comparison.

If you still want me to run it, you will have to be specific on what test because I'm a newbie with Furmark :D

well with my 485M oced to 580M clocks im reaching 82C max after 20 min at maximum settings in super burnin mode. as my card is identical to the 580M/675M and thus has more shader cores than ur 670M in an identical chassis (p150hm) with identical cooling id definitely say 80C are totally fine. just dont get that final temp "surge",doesnt make sense at all...

i also have IC Diamond thermal paste so it would be very similar , just start furmark , press burn-in test then wait for like 4-5 minute and take a screenshot of the benchmark window , the details about the gpu load and temp should be visible in the upper left.

i know it is very weird , it seem to me like the cooling collapse or something at 98%+ , because i tried a graphic stress that is based on lighting effects and the load was 97% , the temp stayed very cool at 80-85c then i tried furmark, occt and diablo3 and all resulted a 96-97c at 99%load , that is also with throttling , i believe without throttling in furmark the temps would have reached 99c

thx alot now i can have somethin to rub against their faces if they try to convince me with some bull facts , though it is really strange your getting double the fps i was getting in furmark and only 98% load not 99% , do you have gtx670m in sli??

Not running in SLI. It was constantly bouncing between 98% and 99% load while running the test, not really sure why. I ran it earlier today for 10 minutes and saw 99% load, and 87c max temp, but somehow messed up the screenshot for you so I redid it.

Sorry if its hard to read. Reach 83 degrees for a bit, but average around 82 degrees after 10 minutes...Although the screenshot was taken at 9:33

    Edit: Stock compound
