Ok well originally i was looking into D901C bc its a power beast with quad and sli but im not sure if i'll make full use of that,i don't know but still i'm leaning toward it time to time but recently the M860tu seems like a best fit for me for the fact it has power enough to last a while in gaming as well as others works, and portability cause i want to be able to take it to college with me. so i'm asking all the m860tu owners and everyone else to provide some stories and convince to choose it, can u tell me also how upgradable is the M860tu's CPU is cause i no the GPU isn't upgradable for the fact high gpu will exceed the thermal budget.

    Thanks

The CPU is upgradeable to the T9600, and is very easy to replace.

A few users have the x9100 in the m860tu. However, Clevo will not cover that system if that's the case and the responsibility falls on your reseller if you need replacements.

The important question to answer is what exactly would you like to do with the laptop and how neccessary is portability over power to you?

    here's a another question i have

on average how long do you think this system will last if i add the t9600 and the of course the 9800m GTS . what i mean is i'm not going to be doing hardcore gaming but on decent settings for games how long do you think this thing will handle the future games

Handle in what sense? Play at low to medium settings with acceptable framerates from the next 2 years (2010) onwards? Then yes.

Tear up games at high settings from 2010 and later? Not if they are unoptimized bloatware *cough* Crysis *cough*. But I see these days developers are going for pretty graphics rather than optimized games. So no. Get a desktop if you want that.
