okay i have a tv tuner i bought from someone that came with their sager. the driver states dib7700 dtv. i made sure that i had a dtv antenna and ive hunted out all the most current drivers..

ive installed a few different mce decoders including the cyberlink one and the one that comes with it.

this is not in a sager but being this is the oem one supplied with the 570ru i figured id ask here hoping someone has this one

windows media center does not detect any antenna nor does the cyberlink software. i can get a couple channels that are just almost pure static to barely come in.

i have also tried this tuner in three different notebooks with the same results.

how in the world has anyone got this working with the digital channels?

any tips or suggestions. i have searched everywhere all over the place with next to no real solutions for this specific tuner.

    thank you in avdance

looks like a great program but thing is for some reason even though i know 100% this is a dtv tuner and i have a digital capable antenna (tested it on the actual tv to see if it picks up anything and it does) the stations just dont come in worth a crap.. the newest driver i could find is 2.7.0.0. ill install it and see what it looks like though.

but shouldnt media center be able to tune in these stations as well with the updated guide etc?? i use that on the pc we have at my office and it works just fine with the desktop card installed in that??

appreciate the info this is honestly my first time using this exact card so i was hoping for something stupid i missed with it.. lol other cards seem to never have given me any real issues in the past and this one is driving me nuts

exactly what is the model and make of the TV Tuner card.... is it internal?

I find that WinTV/Happauge/AverMedia (MCE compatible) chipsets are the best for TV Tuners.

it is internal and the only info i can see on the box is ym770a and mc770 rev 1.1 on the card itself but it is detected as dib7700dtv in device manager by vista

I assume you checked the internal aerial connection to the card (same connector as to a wifi antenna)
