apparently the turbo memory is not compatible with the notebook, any ideas/reasons as to why this is? if i already have it in the laptop should i keep it in?

will they fix this problem in the future?

it could be due to lack of drivers.

isn't turbomemory a intel thing? i don't think it will ever work on a non-intel chipset. as the M980NU is on a nvidia chipset.

if you are running 4gb ram then its a waste of time and you wont notice any difference in loading time one little bit.
your supplier would or should of told you that.

seeing as you will (or should have) 4gb of ram plus

then i wouldnt worry about it, you would never use it anyway

The BIOS and chipset has to support TM. If the BIOS maker didn't include support for it, then its an absolute nogo.

why would it be useless if it's compatible?

ReadyDrive does help the OS boot and shutdown faster regardless of your memory size if you don't have a SSD. and it's supposed to be even more optimized for win7 vs. vista.

readyboots is useless yes and this is where having more than 4G system memory makes it usless, but if you have the 4 gig TM module this is disabled and you be using apps pinning anyway.

apps pinning works great it help speed pinnged apps up enought to be noticeable regardless how much memory you have.

    so how is it useless?

I just have never seem anywhere pointed out that NVIDIA chipset can be compatible tho.

so don't keep your hopes up too high of it ever working.

Your missing out on very little. For those who have the 4GB module, its pretty nice, but really, the differences are small. It will never come to your system, I'm sorry. Upgrades like that just don't happen in the Clevo world. You'd be better off getting an Intel X25 or something like that.

Intel turbo memory is compatible with the m980nu

but as I said it's useless tbh and a waste of money put it towards an SSD that will actually improve your performance
