Do you have any software for making DVD's regionfree (such as DVDRegionFree or similar) installed?

If not it might still be another software running in the background causing this. Start closing down processes one by one until you find the one that causes problems.

what program did you use to watch the Blu-Ray.

I used PowerDVD 7.x and Media Player Classic.

They work fine for HD-DVD and Blu-Ray.

I also use Cyberlink on mine and I haven't had a choppy issue. However I will say that when I pause it in full screen, it does go a little choppy for just a couple of seconds. If I pause it in window mode, it's fine. But typical playback is incredible! I've bought about 8 BluRay's since getting my 5793 on the 4th of April!

does anyone else have blu-ray o theirs? I can't figure out for the life of me what's wrong. the menus work fine..the "sony blu-ray" works fine..but the movie is choppy as hell. it runs smoothly, no stuttering, but the image is just chopping up

    PDVD ultra 7.3 3319a

    is the best one.

lets you play from the Hard Drive, because sometimes you have to rip your discs to get them to play... 3:10 to yuma for instance.

and coupled with anydvd HD your good.
