are you saying that we need an external program to utilize the gaming keys?
-
If you are just wanting to use the gaming keys as macros inside a game, you should be able to load up the game-key application that installs with the driver and program in the macro command for each one.

Aha. If you want the keys to be assignable in-game, you would need something like Rambo mentioned. As-is, the keys simply exist as programmable macro keys (although you could always set them to work as two keys you can't normally reach, such as the [ and ] keys, and then bind those keys in-game to something useful).

You should be able to just open up the gamekey application, and "program" the macro for each button to a single keystroke.

where is this gamekey application, though? all i notice is an application that is located at right-side taskbar and labeled as HOTKEY SETUP when i roll the cursor over it. double clickin this does not do anything. right clicking brings up a small menu with setup / OSD / exit options. under setup it only gives me one option labeled, "Application 1", and clicking this wants to open a file, but open what file? under OSD option there is font / location / enable and these appear to be the screen indicator for volume control settings only.
