my Clevo (ODM of Sager) has been as healthy since I built it back in March of 2006.. so over 1.5 years.

I have carried around with me in my Kensington Backpack almost everyday to school and work.

It is healthy, not just because of its build quality (which helps), but because I take care of it... by doing bi-monthly cleaning of dust in the fans and vents before they can condense and cause airflow and heat issues.

I expect this to last for years to come. :)

I wonder how much I can fetch for it since its mine and somewhat iconic now. ;)

I think what Gophn means is 1.5 years without any problems, not without reboot.

no reboots really, the only time it crashed on me was when I was messing with some old programs to run in XP... when it was totally not supported. :)

And when one of my 1GB Kingston sticks got an error... but that was easy to swap out (actually went to Kingston HQ to get a new stick, no qeustions asked).

You clean the fans while the machine is running?

oh, I do not leave it running 24/7 if thats what you are asking.

Although it has been used 12-16 hours per day.

"Uptime" refers to the time your machine has been on, so... yeah, that's what he means.

I think the longest I've left this particular notebook (NP9261) running is 48 hours or so. But I've only had it for a few weeks.

I have left my notebook on for over 3-days to download something off of a slow FTP... I forgot what it was though.

Usually, mine only reboots when I have problems of some sort related to Windows. I'd say once a week, some time even less often. In the course or a week it's only set in standby for the night, when not d/l. So it's amazing how work and home networks handle my lappy transparently.
