    hay doodz....

system as shown in my signature....

with stock 169.xx clevo drivers i peaked out @ about 97xx 3dmark06 but with those new 176.02 clevo drivers i maxed about 800 points!!!! fps in 3dmark06 run almost everything smooth now, peaking out at more than 80fps in some tests.

    i downloaded them @ www.laptopvideo2go.com

give it a try, they seem to be awesome!

I am torn between the stock 176.02 drivers and the 177.79 drivers. The 176.02 seem to throw out better CPU scores in 3DMark06 whereas the 177.79 throw out better SM 2.0 and 3.0 scores. I get 13978 with 177.79 and 13998 with 176.02. Not much difference. With a Q9550, I think the GPU performance would be the largest benefit.

I would think that the real life gaming performance difference would be the deciding factor of which driver to get.

And not really the performance difference of a program that runs a few high def. videos

I have not had much of a chance to test the benchmarks of different games, only 3DMark06. Even my Company of Heroes benchmarks are based on rendering videos. 3DMark06 does not just display high-def videos, it does real-time rendering of them.
