no change, its still bumpy as before. Throttlestop's reading shows TDP of 48-53w. Does yours stay stable or is this the norm?

have you tried throttlestop? I dont seem to have any issues with prime, but XTU is all over the place, some dips to 3.5ghz then back up to 3.8.

ok, i've upped tdp limits in throttlestop (didnt realise that they override XTU settings) and now my Intel Burn Test graph is a solid 3.8Ghz all the way to the end. temps are a little higher this time, but still acceptable.

I also upped my TDP short and long and i'm now holding 3.9ghz with all 4 cores loaded up.. Good stuff! A solid 400mhz overall gain in performance is very welcomed!

3740qm on np9370 upgrade is worth 170$ at max TDP 45W
is it overclockable ..(400MHz) i heard .. it has HM77 chipset which is supported by INTEL XTU
i dont want to do the BIOS thing.... jist the XTU ?
will i be able to change only the multipliers using XTU with this processor on the mentioned system with the stock bios
if not.. is that easy to flash the modded bios coz i would really love to see it running at +400mhz
do reply people with some facts and experiences
i would love to hear positive responses ... and if not possible ..i'll be going for 3630qm that's stock...and i hope it won't bottleneck 680m sli
but still i would love to go for 3740qm if it does overclock a bit ...so help me out

i have another question... does the BIOS on np9370 support overclocking ?
i was thinking of upgrading to 3740qm due to its minore overclocking capabilities but only if it can be overclocked on this system...i don't want to spend 170$ for no reason.
it would be great if you could tell me if the BIOS supports changing the multipliers for 3740qm or the use of INTEL EXTREME TUNING UTILITY to overclock 3740qm on this system...

XTU is suppoted but the BIOS itself is pretty spartan which is usual for clevo models.
