After some stress testing, I notice, my i7 3930k stays 3.20 forever. Anyone can help me?

Do you have your power settings in Windows set to high performance?

Can you try turning off the Utility, get CPU-Z to monitor clock speeds then run a stress test like Prime95 to see if the clock speeds step up.

ThrottleStop does not support the 6 core CPUs so don't use it on a Core i7-3930K.

unclewebb,
XTU causes problems too. I use TS for frequency checking, not for setup. Turbo multiplier can be set in the (moded) BIOS.
Is there any chance for 6 core full compatible TS revision? -
I am running into a similar issue with my NP9570, except that it is maxing my turbo boost at 3.5 or 3.4 GHz, when it is set to go up to 3.8 ghz currently by default. I am using Prema's new bios. I was using the Intel XTU until I saw you guys recommend to take it off of that.
Any thoughts on why it would stop at 3.5 GHZ?
Also, I can't seem to set any of the multiplier settings in the Bios, like they are greyed out. Is there somethign I have to do to get control of them?
Edit: I just saw the core speed go up to 3.7 GHZ for about 1/5 second when opening SuperPI utility, but then it immediately when down to 3.4 again. -

3.8ghz is the single core max turbo frequencies, they will be lower for higher numbers of active cores.

XTU yes, but the os may be triggering more in the background.
