In the beginning of this month, iBUYPOWER released the M865TU... seen here:

and you can also configure it on iBUYPOWERS' site here

You can read about it on engadget, but what do you guys think? Is this version actually better than Sager's NP8662? I don't see any big differences... Let me know!
-
The differences are only cosmetic.
-
Yeah I have been reading around and that seems to be the case, but is it significant? Or is simply the logo different, or what?
-
we haven't really heard much of the m865, but just looking at it changes are cosmetic as stated by 5482741. who knows probably it doesn't have the hdd over heating problems and maybe a better heat sink. i can only imagine.
edit
it has a 15.6" screen vs the m860's 15.4" screen. -
I think this was due to complaints with the M860TU having HDD heating problems that they redesigned the chassis to accommodate the problem. Other than that, should have the same hardware.
-
-
Hmmm. So do you guys think I am better off ordering the 65 over the 60, so that I don't run into hard drive heat issues?
-
well the heating with the 860 isnt that bad if you install the latest matrix drivers but there is also no guarantee that the hdd problems are fixed with the 865. id say wait for reviews 1st.
-
From what I've seen. the HDD heat problem is solved with updating the SATA drivers.
I haven't seen anything that says the M865TU doesn't have the same HDD design. -
I think the 865 is ugly. What's up with the texturing on the touchpad and buttons?
This model won't have any internal changes. Don't make Gophn start posting charts. -
enough of these threads....
I have said it so many many many times before.
They are both Clevo M86xTU's.
please read the Clevo Guide (under Deciphering the Model Number).... before posting again.
it is just aesthetically different... that is all.
all internals are identical... unless if the vendor mods it... which I doubt iBuypower would.... or would even know how to.
I will close any new threads if they are blatantly uninformed about Clevo models. -
Gophn put the SMACKDOWN on the M865TU!
-
+ that first pic looks hard-core photoshoped
iBUYPOWER's M865TU better than M860ETU?
