    not really... "no point"

The D901C is larger, heavier, and has less batterylife ... but has most raw power that no notebook can match.

The M570TU is lighter, slimmer, and has more batterylife ... but still performs well.

FYI, if you are to go for the D901C, you should get a quad-core CPU... which would be more future proof and is amazing when using it for multi-threaded apps/games... that no dual-core can really touch (especially for the money)

It's amazing the price drop on the D901C, it used to be so much more expensive.

The price always drops, it's normal. I remember when a M570RU used to cost around 2.5k with a 7950GTX or a 8700M GT (some configurations).

People are not dumb. There is a point in getting the 5796: it is more portable. You can't really compare the 9262 with the 5796. But the current price is justified by the high price the DDR3 RAM is sold + new CPUs.

It's not really portable and it's ugly. I am a solid guy and can't carry that thing every time with me (unless it's the only thing I'm carrying). It's great for being kept on a desk all the time, but if you're going to university it's like having a mini-desktop with you.

I didn't buy my D901C to show it off. I bought it to game/work with.

I look at the screen 90% of the time, not the rest of the computer.

Well, for one...there is no point to this thread, so closed.

Each and every laptop is different, and two pounds can actually be a greater deal than you think.

I suggest you consider other people's needs, and laptop features at a whole, before suggesting or knocking a product.

And I also want to note...aren't other notebook specifications also a bit silly then? Going from 2.0 GHz to 2.4 GHz? To save that "5 seconds of processing time"?

    Each to his own :).
