    When do yo think we will see quad core montevina CPU's from Intel for notebooks.

    No. It's not really a fair comparison, the quads in the NP9262 are desktop quads, the notebook quads will, quite obviously, be notebook quads, with tighter power controls, and whatnot.

    They should be and the power consumption will be lower with a higher FSB

    Same FSB speed my friend. THey will run at 1066.
    Most quads run at 333, or 1333 effective these days.
    I believe the 12mb L2 cache is useless for comparison but it will have roughly 45W TDW> My qx9650 has about 135 so don't expect super numbers but I'd say this will own the baby-q9300 :)

    nope, the quads consume too much for the 860tu and the heat is too great

    the quad core will come with a pirce of 1 grand. i could purchase a decent laptop with that money.

    yea 1 grand is really too steep and this is first generation quad core for notebook. It is always not a good idea to be the early adopter unless u got the $$$ to do it. Best wait for next line of intel mobile quad cores in upcoming years.
