just a question about the 8170 because i dont have the time to dig through the service manual... does it come with 3 or 2 internal antennas if I had the killer 1102(2x2) installed? I may be facing needing to replace my 1102 with a 6300 due to never ending connectivity drops with perfectly fine signal

    thx

Since you're used to the 2 antenna connection and if its been working out for you, consider the Intel 6235 wireless card as well. Its 2 antenna but also includes bluetooth (if you need it)

I think he means to take no chances of the signal dropping :) Otherwise yes the 6235 works fine.

You might also want to look to your router.
