w/out the new mobo BUT with the newest bios for the 8800gtx?? just wondering if anyone has stuck one in there to see if it actually worked. justin said it will not work.. i had someone *claim* they dropped one in that did the bios update for the 8800gtx (they say their sleep works fine also btw thats 5 people now??) and he said it came right on and reports it correctly. i cant actually see it with my own eyes since he is 4 hours from me.... and his wife has no idea how to send me screen shots of it. he just left for iraq again 3 days ago but emailed me last night and told me this very info... that it works just fine?? maybe he is lying i dont know..

can anyone confirm or deny this based on actually trying it, not just saying it does not work... id love to simply buy the 8800gtx and drop in a t9300 or better?? again actually trying this not just saying it does or doesnt work? thanks very much..

again no mobo upgrade BUT he did the new bios for the 8800gtx card... he did say in a new email the first time he booted it it reported errors.. he reseated the cpu and re-flashed the bios.. and he said after that he booted it up and it worked just fine??? this would be amazing info for people if it is true..

BUMP up anyone tried... the only thing holding me from just buying the card itself is the possibility to upgrade to the penryn's though not sure its worth it really from a t7500 already...

do you have details on the upgrade, because there were problems but from what I remember the 8800 only has a problem with Standy/sleep mode on the older mobo's

yes the 8800 is supposed to have a sleep issue but i have 6 confirmed people now saying once they went to the newest bios for the 8800 upgrade that sleep is not a issue for them..

i also have 2 people confirming that a x9000 or a t9500 will work on my mobo with the newest bios as well.. i have rev 4.1 as do the other 2 people one with a x9000 and the other using a t9500..
