Try increasing voltage but you are really near the limit of the card IMO... Not a bad firestrike graphics score though.. About 1500 points from the stock 970M..

I'd be careful trying to push those cards... They are prone to failure as it is.

I found others overvolt the desktop 7870 to 1.3v. Can I do that to 7970m?

I would not suggest overvolting a laptop GPU, that's just asking for failure. Unless you have a resolution higher than 1080p or want to drive a refresh rate higher than 60 Hz, you likely won't need overclocking THAT extreme.

other than overclock. i also underclock both gpu and mem to the lowest possible speed in standby mode. original gpu clock is 300 and mem is 150. now both 100. anything below 100 is not allowed.

Great Job! However I wouldn't run games at those clocks for too long or you'll burn out the GPU lol.. You really have a golden sample...

this is mainly constributed by 3940xm. actually i did run firestrike at even higher gpu core 1065 successfully but that speed crash in 3dmark11 so i treat that speed is invalid.
i spent sometime tuning the 3940xm and one thing i found is interesting: upping the bclk will get adverse effects.
    i have tried:
    99.76 (default)*44=4389.44
    102*43=4386
for 102 bclk, there is only 3.44Mhz slower in cpu clock but ram is much higher. however i got more than 100 firestrike marks lower than 99.76. so i dont know for what reasons upping bclk is not a good choice and it even slow the whole system.

I made this at stock voltage. Although I saw the highest core at stock voltage is 1100 from another person

On Stock voltage i can Hit 1055-1060 MHz on core, just like u. This scores i Made After overvoltig to 1.1v and overclocking the core to 1115-1120 MHz.
But its not for everyday use, the gpu getting to hot. For everyday use I undervolted it and Run 900mhz @ 0.975v and its cooler than Stock [email protected]

i dont understand the voltage shown in vbios editor is 1.075, but in gpu-z is 1.05?

No, if VBios has 1.1V, the card will actually use 1.075V when running... So 1.075V in BIOS is 1.05.. Basically 0.025V less...
