Unless you want to spend $90+ on a Firewire repeater/hub (since the X7200 doesn't have an Expresscard slot), I suggest migrating to USB 3.0.

hi saturno, thank you for your answer.

The problem is, I have some gear that utilizes FW and its FW only. So I guess, the hub is my only option

FW also daisy chains IF your gear supports it. I used to do this albeit INEFFICENTLY on Mac gear for years.

Hubs are normally a better idea if it has alot of data transfer or your equipment does not have a passthrough.

if you look and your X7200 has an expresscard slot you may still be able to find 2 port expresscard to FW 800 port interfaces like so:

Except the X7200 doesn't have an Expresscard slot. I have no idea why since that machine is a huge beast. Otherwise, it would be very easy (not to mention cheap) to pick up a FW expansion card.
