    i want to put this mpcie to usb adapter in my free msata spot on the p177sm for my mouse reciever
    has anyone done this and could it work. I am kinda worried about putting china special's in my laptop also where could i get a good brand name one online if it would work at all?

    all of those have a diferent 4 digit number at the start ??? any ideas

    I have the feeling the only way you'll know for sure whether it works or not is to give it a whirl. We haven't seen anyone make mention of one. The only caveat I can see upfront is potential interference when you're running on WiFi.

    got one orderd ill let you know how it goes when it gets here ( a month later) i think it would be great to free up my only USB 2 spot as my external HDD's hate the USB 3 for some reason

    Sorry but it won't work in the msata slot since that card is for mini pcie.

    ok so those 2 msata slots are just for the msata dam i thought al three were the same except two had ssd conectivity

    Mini PCI-E and mSATA are physically identical but electrically quite different, msata goes straight to the mSATA port of the south bridge and that is not going to accept USB data.
