    in addition to thread title question, would upgrading ram void my 3 year warranty?

    upgrading the ram does not void your warranty. also $139 is a fair price for a 3 year warranty.

    If you plan on keeping ur laptop that long, then yes it's an awsome deal.

    Chances are that something is gonna fail on u in the next 3 years, and I gurantee you that whatever it is will cost more than $140 to fix. Imagine a mobo or screen failure. After the 1st year that would cost you uprwards of $500 to repair. But if you spend the $45 a year on warranty, then it would be free.
