hey guys here are some quick specs, bench, and temps i got right after i installed the drivers.

    spec:
    i7-2630qm
555m (installed the newest drivers provided by sager website)
    ic paste
    8gb ram
display 95% ntsc gamut matte-type (skip to the bottom of the post)

    temps:
processor: ranged between 60-70C (periodic random checks when was installing drivers etc) idles around 55C
    **seems kinda high no?
    vid card: ~50C

bench (will run extensive tests tomorrow.. this is just for now):
    WEI - 7.4processor, 7.6ram, 6.9graphics, 6.8gaming , 6.8graphics, 5.9harddisk
    **decent?
    superpi 1M - 13.8~14.3s
**averaged 14.1 on notebookcheck.i was scoring a ridiculous 35s (then went to 14.427 after i updated vid drivers O.O omgmakesnosensebbq)
    wPrime32 - 14.77 ~ 15sec
**averaged 10.3 on notebookcheck... REALLY low. concerns me.

    display:
WHAT ALL YOU GUYS (THAT HAVE RECENTLY ORDERED THE 95 GAMUT MATTE) HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR.
ordered 8/9, shipped to XOTIC 8/10, shipped to LA 8/16, received 8/25
so, if you guys followed the recent threads, people have been having ghosting issues (so much to the point where sager issued a statement saying they wont shipping out the poopy 95 gamut matte screens) now, my laptop was shipping out of sager a day or two after sager released the statement so, naturally, i was still worried.
turns out... i have 0 dead pixels (or to what i can tell) and NO ghosting issues... or at least i cant recreate it.

    thanks for reading,
take a look at my numbers and tell me whatsup :)
btw.. are there any benchmarks that im missing or drivers other than the vid card that i should update?
    <strike>**i will be doing pcmark vantage, 3dmark vantage 06 11 tomorrow</strike>
    done, refer to post#4
**fn + 1 works for me
<strike>**hwmonitor doesnt show my gpu temps! how do i get it working? </strike>
<strike>problem solved, started appearing after i updated win7. weird. </strike>
gpu temps shows when it wants to -___-

^ referring to hwmonitor right? i dont see or have this "sensor only" option :\
-another quick Q, when you enable optimus (orange) is there another way to verify that it's actually using the vid card? programs like ccleaner still shows that im running the on-board.

btw, great work awesome customer service!

    cpu: 60~68C
    gpu: 52C
*dont know why the application lists that i ran the test with iGPU when i gots scores of dGPU

    3dMark Vantage 5757
Intel HD Graphics 3000 Mobile video card benchmark result - Intel Core i7-2630QM Processor,CLEVO CO. W150HRM score: P5757 3DMarks
    cpu: ~61C
    gpu: ~53C
*score is pretty dang high compared to notebookcheck ???

    PCMark Vantage 7357
Intel HD Graphics 3000 Mobile video card benchmark result - Intel Core i7-2630QM Processor,CLEVO CO. W150HRM score: 7357 PCMarks
    cpu: 54~57C
    gpu: 49C
*couldnt find anyone else that ran PCMark Vantage. any comparisons?

3dMark 11 runs halfway then b*tches about Program.DLL not being installed or something. test comes to an immediate halt and tells me to reinstall. reinstallation didnt make a difference :p

btw... are there any updates/flashes i should be doing besides the vid card that's not provided in the utilities cd?

Nice scores. Are you sure the benchmarks ran in Optimus mode?

It usually says so if you're running a newer 3DMark.

catan - when i installed the vid drivers here: Software Upgrade
it fixed everything for me :D

llstarks - thanks, im pretty sure it was enabled. my scores are somewhat familiar with the scores reported on notebookcheck for the 555m. i am however concerned with the cpu. wprime and superpi (i dont always get 14 usually ~25) are extremely low compared to what is reported and i have yet to find someone with that used pcmark vantage and reported it

Thats normal with no load. Watch it when you run Super Pi and it should go to max clocks. Thats Intels Turbo boost. Also you can get a widget callled Intel turbo boost monitor if you google it.

Also in the control panel, go to Power Options and select High performance. I found my computer wouldnt idle down, the clocks were staying at very high settings. I was baffled and finally figured out it was the power scheme I selected. It seems to act a bit different on some systems too.

I had the same thing with my MALIBAL regarding the WEI score, all was high except for the windows aero score. You think if I downloaded/install the same vid driver that it would fix that even though I have a diff builder?

Have you run 3DMark benchmarks at all? What are you scores like? WEI doesn't really mean much, and if your 3DMark scores are where they should be, it's not worth worrying about.

3Dmark Vantage: P5816 Not sure the video card worked on this one.
NVIDIA GeForce GT 555M video card benchmark result - Intel Core i7-2670QM Processor,CLEVO CO. W150HRM score: P5816 3DMarks

    3Dmark 11: P1409
Generic VGA video card benchmark result - Intel Core i7-2670QM Processor,CLEVO CO. W150HRM score: P1409 3DMarks

    PCMark 7: 4088
NVIDIA GeForce GT 555M video card benchmark result - Intel Core i7-2670QM Processor,CLEVO CO. W150HRM score: 4088 PCMarks

So I ran the above, all the frame rates looks pretty choppy. I did not have anything running on the background OTHER than HWmonitor. The temps got as high as 88c on the CPU and 64c on the GPU. Everything as far as the lights on the computer did indicate that the 555 card was doing it's job. I had the computer set up on performance settings via power plan and the little powerlife console.
I have the current drivers for the video card as was indicated on the 3dmark website. ANy recommendations? Thanks

The framerate looking choppy is to be expected on those newer benchmarks, especially on what would be considered a lower end card. It has poor performance at times on my desktop 470 SLI setup, so no worries there.

As for your benchmarks, they fit the averages that are expected from the 555m, so it looks like WEI is an inaccurate assessment there.

WEI is known to register just the integrated card with switchable graphics by default. It will only see the dedicated card if there is a way to force it to be always on in the BIOS afaik. In any case WEI is a terrible benchmark.

alright, thanks for your guys' input. In hindsight I guess I would have been better off using one of the older benchmark programs since these were way over this computer's capacity. Just glad to hear it is normal. Fortunately, this isn't a laptop I plan to game on, I just wanted to make sure that it was working at full capacity. Thanks again.

is there a huge difference between the 555m and the 560m?
is it worth getting the 8130 for the 560m?

The 560m can be nearly 2x the power of the 555m depending on the application. However, this comes at the cost of being able to use Optimus so your battery life will be shortened from about 3 hours to 2. Here are links comparing the two cards:

    NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560M - Notebookcheck.net Tech
    NVIDIA GeForce GT 555M - Notebookcheck.net Tech

If you plan to game and don't mind the shortened battery life, the 560m is probably your best option.

The starkest difference, and a simple way I think of it, is that the 560M truly "enables" gaming at 1080p. With the 555M and GPUs of that ilk, you can only categorically run "everything" at 900p.
